Today was National World Book Day. The whole school spent 30 minutes reading our favourite books on the corridors outside our classrooms. We read books about dragons, fairies, witches and monsters. Congratulations to Vicky Lin in Ms McElligott’s sixth class who won first prize in the senior category in the CPSMA national art competition for her fantastic drawing entitled ‘Celebrating Our Local Primary School’. Vicky is a fantastic artist and really depicted the uniqueness of our school in her drawing. Well done!

We are working hard in small groups to create our own stories. We are trying to remember to include a beginning, middle and end and to make our stories exciting with a problem and resolution.
Today we spent time looking through our work. We chose pieces which we are proud of and which show how we have made great improvements in first class.

We ran our Christmas Concert in the school hall on the 13th, 14th and 15th of December. We had a full house each day. Mammies and daddies were so proud of their children’s wonderful performances.
During the month of December various classes invited parents into their classrooms to participate in festive art activities. It really got us into the Christmas spirit!
