In Geography we have been learning about all of the different types of bridges. We used Google Maps to explore and name the different designs and architecture of bridges that cross the River Liffey. We were able to identify Arch bridges, Drawbridges, Beam Bridges and Cable Stay Bridges. With all of our new knowledge on bridges our teacher set us a challenge to design a bridge using one sheet of A4 paper. We tested our bridges using 1c coins to see how much weight they could bear. The winning bridge held 160 coins!
