Pink or red for Valentine’s!

It’s clear that we are huge fans of the colour pink in 6th class! The girls enjoyed wearing their own clothing in to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year. We made beautiful clay ornaments for the occasion and also got a glimpse of an Emu egg thanks to Ms. Foley!

Martry flour Mill

The girls were lucky enough to go on a trip to the Martry flour Mill where they learned all about the milling process. They then used the flour made from this process to make their own loaves of bread. It was a fun and educational trip that they thoroughly enjoyed!

Making pancakes!

Everybody knows that making things from scratch is better than buying them in the shop. That’s why 6th class made their own this year! Weighing the ingredients and following the recipe in small groups was no problem for them.

Lá Glas

The girls did an amazing performance for Lá Glas this year. Jingrou played the piano to introduce our performance and then the girls performed the cup song “amhrán na gcupán” as Gaeilge for their parents. Well done girls!

2024 Clontarf Rugby Blitz Champions!

A huge congratulations to the 6th class girls who attended the tag rugby blitz in Clontarf this year and didn’t lose a single game. They made themselves and the school very proud. Thank you so much to Gráinne who taught us about tag rugby for the few weeks leading into the competition.

Confirmation Ceremony

Some children in 6th class spent the past few weeks preparing for the sacrament of confirmation. They each took on important roles such as offering gifts, reading prayers and singing solos. They did themselves and the school so proud on this special day.

Ms. Harron’s 6th class were invited to attend an exhibition in TU Grangegorman. The 3rd level science students there created various different experiments for them to engage in. They had a ball! I think some have been inspired to become scientists themselves!
