Every Friday afternoon, we spend our last hour having Golden Time. The girls choose to play games, colour, create dramas or go on the computers. It’s a fantastic reward for working so hard all week long!

Last Thursday, November 14th was the launch of gaelic for girls in Cabra and Aughrim St. We were delighted to have such a great turnout of representatives from our school attending. It is on every Thursday from 5p.m. to 6p.m. for girls aged 8-12 years. It is free and we also got lovely t-shirts.
Every Friday we try to bake or cook for golden time. Over the past few weeks we have made scones, brown bread, pizza, Nutella buns and delicious shortbread! The children are benefitting so much from the experience of writing recipes, weighing ingredients and eating their tasty creations!
We were so lucky to get one beautiful Friday recently. We decided to make the most of it and go to the Grangegorman playground with the other 4th class in our school! It was wonderful, we had delicious ice-creams, a run around in the playground and then it was time for the weekend!
We have just finished our time with our fantastic Junior Achivement teacher, Mick. The girls learned all about how to set up and run a scuccessful business. It was truly inspiring!
Every second Friday we read or do art with Ms. O’Connor’s Junior Infants. Both classes benefit hugely from this! The infants love being read to, showing 4th class what they know, helping with cutting and sticking and just having some one to one attention. Both classes thoroughly look forward to this time!
In fourth class we know how important it is to be active. Every week we try new games and activities in and out of the classroom, to make exercise fun and exciting!
