In Aistear, we have been learning all about the Restaurant! We pretended to be chefs, customers, waiters and waitresses in our very own restaurant. We used play-doh to make delicious meals. We built a restaurant using blocks. We also practised our cutting skills.
This month in Maths, we learned all about patterns. We had great fun creating our own patterns!

We made chocolate nests for Easter in Room 3. We had great fun melting and stirring the chocolate. We decorated our nests with colourful chocolate eggs. We were delighted bringing our treats home that day!
Every second Friday we read or do art with Ms. O’Connor’s Junior Infants. Both classes benefit hugely from this! The infants love being read to, showing 4th class what they know, helping with cutting and sticking and just having some one to one attention. Both classes thoroughly look forward to this time!
We planted cress seeds last week. We recycled our pasta pots and used them as flower pots. We made sure to water our cress plants every day. They have grown so much – we can’t wait to bring them home!
We are learning about materials and magnets. Last week, we had great fun experimenting with magnets of all different shapes and sizes.
