In memory of former Deputy Principal Delma Dwyer

On the 5th January 2025, our friend and former colleague, Delma Dwyer, passed away peacefully. Delma taught in Stanhope Street Primary school for many years until her retirement in March 2012. Delma was passionate about her teaching and shared her love for learning with her students and colleagues. Delma supported many students in her role as SET Teacher and built lasting connections with our students and their families.

Delma’s engaging personality, storytelling and quick wit won the hearts of pupils, parents and colleagues alike. Delma was not only a talented teacher and educator, she was an equally talented artist. She enriched the lives of those around her with her creativity.

Her kindness and gentleness touched the lives of everyone. Every conversation with Delma was memorable, and those of us fortunate enough to have known her will forever cherish those moments.

Delma was a wonderful teacher, friend and colleague. We are grateful for her legacy to our school and feel privileged to have known her.

There will be a mass in memory of Delma on Thursday 27th of February at 4pm in Arbour Hill Church. All are welcome to attend.
