We were very fortunate that some of our second class pupils were invited to the bookshop on Dawson Street- Hodges Figgis- by KPMG. During the trip we made our own fantastic bookmarks, had a look through many books instore with volunteers and then got to choose one book each to bring home courtesy of KPMG.
KPMG volunteers come to our school every Tuesday to participate in Time to Read with some of our pupils. This means that each child in the programme gets to have a reading buddy, a volunteer from KPMG, to listen to our reading, help us with tricky words, talk about the books and most of all they encourage us to love reading even more!
We feel very lucky to be part of this programme!
