We were so proud of our four pupils in Sixth class who won the very prestigious Maths Eyes award recently and were presented with a trophy and large canvas printout of their entry by the minister for Education Norma Foley. Out of Four hundred thousand entries, we were declared the “Project overall winners for 2021” in the group. They created maths images using the environment around them where Maths is used in our every day lives and put funny captions on their images. It required intelligence both emotional and academic, persistence, digital skills and great motivation to complete their project and submit it. A huge congratulations to our shining stars. It will be displayed in our school forever!
